Job Summary and Qualifications

We are seeking a OR Business Analyst in the Operating Room (Outpatient Surgery Center) for our facility to ensure we continue to provide all patients with high quality, efficient care. The OR Business Analyst is responsible for assisting the OR staff in the optimal use of the computer system applications. This includes coordinating integration of OR systems with internal and external systems, as well as a liaison to other hospital departments including, but not limited to Finance, Supply Chain, Admitting, Infection Control, Risk Management, IT&S, and HIMS. Responsible for installation, upgrades and updates. Responsible for ensuring data integrity through periodic audits and reviewing/revising policies/procedures in the use of supplied system software. Performs any other job-related duties as requested by the Supervisor or Department Director.

What You Will Do In This Role:

  • You will be responsible for courteous, accurate and timely communication of information

  • You will be responsible for clerical duties, not limited to creating and maintaining reports

  • You will be responsible for maintaining computer information, training and documentation in an orderly, organized fashion

  • You will interact with staff and customers, as needed, in a customer-friendly atmosphere

What Qualifications You Will Need:

  • Graduate of an accredited High School

  • College credit in Healthcare considered

  • A minimum 2 years’ experience implementing or managing scheduling/documentation systems

  • Advanced computer skills

  • 5 years recent experience in OR environment with knowledge of surgical procedures and supplies associated with those procedures

  • Demonstrated competence with patient care information systems, preferably Meditech

  • Strong planning, analytical and written skills

  • Ability to educate staff using adult learning principles

  • Will attend HCA ORM University for complete training in HCA related IT systems, Meditech, SMART and HOST
