Job Summary and Qualifications

As the Magnet Program Director, you are responsible for oversight of the Magnet Program and the innovative development and implementation of creative systems, processes, and clinical practices that improve patient care delivery. The director will be responsible for the implementation of the Nursing Strategic Plan initiatives related to obtaining/maintaining Magnet Recognition.

What You Will Do In This Role:

• You are responsible for assuring the Magnet framework and essential domains are hardwired into the organization through coordination, education and consultation with Leadership.

• You will leads education for staff and Magnet Champions on key initiatives and Magnet principles.

• You will conducts gap analysis for evidence of the Magnet Model components and works closely with leadership to formulate plans to close the gaps in performance.

• You are responsible for planning and deployment of strategies to hardwire evidence-based nursing into all areas of practice, clinical and management.

• You are responsible for fostering an environment of scientific inquiry through research and evidence based practice.

What Qualifications You Will Need:

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing (RN) required

• Master’s degree preferred.

• 5 years of clinical experience, previous staff development or educator experience

• Previous experience in Magnet Program Director, Practice Council leader or document preparation strongly preferred.

• Previously worked at a Magnet Recognized Hospital desired.
