Responsibilities Utilize automated systems to monitor supplies, materials, government furnished materials, stock levels, usage, and shelf life. Investigate supply discrepancies resulting from shipment shortages or damages. Reconcile supply materials received utilizing automated tracking system. Obtain and prepare all documents necessary for received material, storage location, and Safety Data Sheets. Review supply statements of work and other technical data to ensure proper material usage. GS-06 Level Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which include Apply supply regulations, policies, and procedures; Receive, store, issue, and ship supplies; Utilize data entry procedures; and Retrieve information in automated systems for reports. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/ level position in the federal service (GS-05). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualifications requirement using experience alone-no substitution of education for experience is permitted. GS-07 Level Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which include Interpret and apply supply regulations, policies, procedures, and instructions; Research files or databases to identify problem areas to correct inventory issues; Reconstruct records for complex supply transactions; and Compile supply data information to provide material pricing. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/ level position in the federal service (GS-06). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualifications requirement using experience alone-no substitution of education for experience is permitted. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Computer Literacy Supply Inventory Management Supply Planning Supply Support Technical Data Time in Grade Requirement GS-06: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade GS-05 (or equivalent). Time in Grade Requirement GS-07: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade GS-06 (or equivalent). Education Additional Information Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. One year trial/probationary period may be required. Direct deposit of pay is required. Selection is subject to restrictions resulting from Department of Defense referral system for displaced employees. Current permanent Federal employees (to include permanent Army employees) applying for a term appointment will be appointed/converted into a term appointment with no statutory return rights back to a permanent position.
