Manage the proper flow of material in the shop through safe operation of warehouse transporting equipment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Ability to operate, obtain/keep a license for:
o Crane
o Fork lift
o Tugger
o And any other material handling vehicles as mandated by Parker and/or OSHA
• Ability to maintain the warehouse, overflow, canopy, truck bays, aisles, shipping and incoming area, chip system, and the parts wash room in an orderly and clean state
• Ability to perform all required safety inspections
• Ability to load/unload delivery vehicles
• Ability to accurately record and identify components and raw materials
• Ability to accurately store, pick, and pack components and raw materials
• Ability to follow scheduling, delivery, and dunnage systems
• Ability to break down packaging material
• Ability to operate chip spinner and clean out screw machines
• Ability to setup and operate barmarker
• Ability to accurately maintain and operate parts washer
• Ability to operate scales
• Ability to operate wrapping and strapping equipment
• Ability to follow receiving and outgoing work standards
• Ability to create and allocate raw material pick lists
• Ability to create shipping and bill of lading paperwork
• Ability to assist in inventory control with cycle counts
• Ability to prioritize and pack product along with using and making the proper shipping boxes and containers.
• Ability to use and print the proper shippers and labels.
• Ability to use computer applications and hardware to access POL, Timecentre, Mainframe, Metals Shipping, and printing.
• Ability to properly fill out any necessary paperwork.
TACTICAL SUMMARY
• Ability to operate and maneuver warehouse equipment and any material(s) contained thereon in the manner consistent with the intended purpose of the equipment and the manufacturers’ instructions.
• Ability to identify and escalate safety, quality, machine, and product issues to appropriate personnel (i.e. Leads, Value Stream Team Leaders, maintenance, team associates, etc.).
• Must follow all facility, department and/or cell quality practices.
o Ability to read and understand standard work, work instructions, travelers, print drawings, and Parker specifications.
o Ability to use a variety of precision measuring instruments (i.e. micrometers, calipers, scales, optical comparator, computer measuring systems, gauges, etc.)
o Required to follow all quality guidelines and checks including first piece approvals, sorting, and in-process inspections.
• Must follow all facility safety guidelines and practices.
o Follows and promotes all 5S + safety guidelines as required.
o Must follow all appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.
o Must follow all safety preventive measures and practices.
• Participates in the facility Lean and improvement programs.
o Actively participates in and supports continuous improvement team activities and projects (i.e. High Performance Teams, 10-Step Problem Solving, 5-Why’s, Process Audits, Corrective Action Requests, etc.)
o Promotes continuous improvement efforts.
• Must be able to work well with other facility associates.
o Ability to demonstrate “professionalism” with all associates, suppliers, and customers.
o Effective communication with shop personnel from all aspects of the business. Ability to read, write, and converse in English.
o Promotes a positive working environment.
o Punctual and maintains an acceptable attendance record.

• Physical demands
The employee is required to:
o Bending, reaching, lifting up to 50 pound boxes and totes, twisting, scooping, grasping, squatting, pushing/pulling, prolonged sitting/standing/walking, and fine hand-eye coordination.
o Exert 25 to 80 pounds of force occasionally, and/or exert 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently to move objects.
o Performs other duties as assigned by the Lead, Value Stream Team Leader, Value Stream Manager, Plant Manager, or any other individuals of authority within the facility.
o Follows and supports Parker’s Employee Handbook, Values, and Code of Ethics.
Education
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
Experience
• Minimum three years experience in a manufacturing environment recommended.
Computer Skills
• Experience with Windows OS, Microsoft Word and Excel
• Experience with basic computer hardware (i.e. turning on/off a computer, keyboard, mouse, monitor, printer)
Travel Requirement
• Seldom travel required for training.
