Trinity Health Computed Tomography Technologist- Radiology - Full Time - Day Shift in Mason City, Iowa

Description:

Position Purpose

CT Technologist maintains all standards of the Computed Tomography (CT) area established by the Imaging Department.

What you will do

  • Performs CT examination per policy/procedure

  • Demonstrates excellence customer service to internal and external customers

  • Supports CT quality assurance programs per ACR regulations

  • Follows all CT policy, procedures and practices as defined in department and CT policy manual

  • Monitors CT area for safety and utilizes safe radiation practices

  • Ensure proper working of all equipment and communicates with appropriate service personnel

  • Demonstrates competency of image management utilizing RIS, HIS, PACS and AW workstation

Hours/Schedule

36 hours/week; Primarily daytime shifts with varied hours; Rotating days/weekends/holidays.

Minimum Qualifications

Education [formal]:

  • Must be credentialed in Radiology by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists ( ARRT).

  • Must possess current IDPH Permit to Practice.

  • Must be credentialed in Computed Tomography (CT) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) within 6 months of hire date.

Experience:

Demonstrated competence in CT preferred

Special Skills and Competencies:

Must provide proof of Basic Life Support (BLS Healthcare Provider, American Heart Association; or American Red Cross, Professional Rescuer-LIVE class only) via current card prior to employment or within 60 days of hire and maintains current status.

Completes Mandatory Reporting: Child and Dependent Adult Abuse requirement within 6 months of hire and renews this requirement every 5 years.
