The Town of Mashpee Building Department welcomes applications for Alternate Plumbing & Gas Inspectors; \$35.00/hour. This position works on an on-call, as needed basis for the hours of 7:30am - 12:00pm, Monday through Thursday. Positions open until filled. Minimum Requirements: High school diploma or GED; MA Plumber and Gas Fitter License required and five years supervisory experience as a MA licensed Journeyman Plumber and Gas Fitter; Master Plumber License preferred; or any equivalent combination of education, training or experience which demonstrates possession of the required knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to perform the essential functions of the job and that meet state certification requirements. Must possess a valid MA driver\'s license (Class D). Must successfully pass a C.O.R.I. background check. Responsibilities: Performs administrative, technical and inspection work related to the enforcement and interpretation of the Massachusetts State Plumbing Code and the Massachusetts Code for the Installation of Gas Appliances and Gas Piping. Performs varied and detailed skilled inspection and review duties of a technical nature requiring the exercise of considerable judgment in ensuring compliance with proper standards and the enforcement of pertinent laws and regulations.
