Your Role:

As a pivotal member of our finance team, you will be instrumental in assisting the Transactional Accounting, Reporting, and Analysis Manager in consolidating and preparing all internal and external reporting obligations. This role requires handling detailed reconciliations and working seamlessly with teams in both Australia and the US. You will thrive in this position by efficiently processing a high volume of tasks independently, showcasing a proactive approach, and demonstrating exceptional problem-solving skills for complex issues. A key aspect of your role involves a strong emphasis on continuous process improvement.

Your responsibilities will include managing and executing various financial reporting tasks such as maintaining accounting functions, month-end closing activities, general ledger maintenance, and bank reconciliation. You will also be involved in the creation of monthly billing and project adjustments, handling ABS Surveys, investigating accounting variances, and ensuring the accuracy of financial reports. A significant part of your role entails developing and managing general ledger reconciliations, undertaking analysis and review of management reports, and identifying critical financial issues and risks. Additionally, you will contribute to the continuous improvement and automation of financial processes, maintain controls for financial reporting, and support ad-hoc analysis and projects.

About You:

We are seeking a degree-qualified professional in Accounting, with essential CPA/CA qualifications. Your independent, highly motivated, and dynamic nature makes you an effective team member capable of demonstrating leadership qualities. With a commitment to continuous improvement and change management, you will be an asset to our team.

You will bring expertise in technical aspects of reporting and analysis, including balance sheet and P&L item analysis, identification of accounting issues, and implementing process improvements in daily activities. Your ability to assist in the preparation of consolidated P&L and cash flow forecasts, along with other management reports, will be crucial. As a seasoned professional, you will also support the team in reconciliations, ensuring the timely clearing of reconciliation items and providing assistance on various ad hoc projects and duties as needed.
