Job Description

GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

The Project Manager is accountable to the Vice President Engineering and Chief Nuclear Engineer to ensure the successful execution of Projects including meeting safety, quality, schedule an cost requirements and completing the work in accordance with the ACNS Nuclear Quality System Manual.

SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Support the Vice President Engineering and Chief Nuclear Engineer by providing oversight and throughout the entire project. The position is accountable to:

  • Develop the project Plans in collaboration with the Engineering Leads to successfully meet the project deliverables maintaining cost and schedule.

  • Interface with the client to understand and ensure that the client goals are met.

  • Facilitate the project proposal process to ensure that accurate schedules, costs and work break down structure are created.

  • Communicate with the Client and the responsible leads on the project team on a routine basis to keep information lines open.

  • Address risks as they arise and facilitate the mitigating action to ensure that the client needs are met

  • Monitor and report on schedule and cost on a routine basis.

  • Identify and incorporate lessons learned as part of continuous learning.

Necessary Skills and Knowledge:

The skills and knowledge to execute this role are usually acquired through 5+ years of experience in a Project environment. The individual would possess good written and verbal skills and an ability to influence and interact with all Management Levels.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field + 6 years of experience in Project Management or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

Strongly Preferred Qualifications:

  • A 4-year University with a degree in Engineering is desirable.

  • Professional Engineer preferred.

  • PMP designation preferred

  • nuclear industry experience in project management acquired over a minimum of 5 years.

  • Good understanding of project management processes and procedures and the ability to apply them.

  • Variety of experience in the Nuclear Industry in project management and execution

  • Experience in Engineering or Design in a Nuclear environment.

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $101,000.00 - $183,000.00.
