JOB REQUIREMENTS: Fincantieri Marinette Marine, a Fincantieri Marine Group Company, is a progressive shipyard specializing in building ships for the United States Navy. We currently have an opportunity for a Class Design Services (CDS) Senior Project Engineer at our Marinette, Wisconsin location. POSITION SUMMARY This position is assigned to FFG PMO and reports to the CDS Technical Program Manager under the Senior Director of Production and Program Integration. The CDS Senior Project Engineer will provide technical support to multiple cross-funcitonal teams comprising a variety of Engineering disciplines in determining the requirements of technical studies and/or Engineering Change Proposals (ECP) of interest to the Navy. This position will assign technical resources, provide input to project timelines, support outsourcing plans, produce statements of work, identify the configuration items affected, effects on performance allocations and interfaces, impacts to manning/training, software/hardware upgrades, integrated logistics support and spares, and determine trade-offs and/or alternative solutions. This position will coordinate among multiple stakeholders, including the FMM Engineering Department and subcontractors, to develop integrated, comprehensive technical packages which identify all scoping impacts. Attention to detail, in-depth knowledge of the baseline configuration, and ability to critically evaluate, consider and consolide multiple technical and production aspects is crucial in this position as performance will have significant bearing on timeliness, expense, and/or disruption to the organization. The individual is expected to have an ability to read, interpret, and clearly present complex information; interact with customers, partners, and colleagues; listen well; keep stakeholders and leadership well-informed; and, overcome challagnes and resolve issues identified.
