Description

We are seeking an Assistant Controller for a contract opportunity. The ideal candidate will possess significant experience in the private sector and a keen understanding of financial practices.

Job Role and Responsibilities:

• Assist the Controller in producing accurate and timely financial statements.

• Handle daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash management, and general ledger entries.

• Implement and manage internal controls and financial procedures.

• Collaborate in the budgeting process and conduct regular budget-reviews.

• Assist in the preparation of monthly and annual financial reports.

• Analyze financial data and provide forecasting support.

• Liaise with external auditors and manage internal audits.

• Support tax preparation and filing activities.

• Implement proactive strategies to improve financial performance and operational efficiency.

• Handle ad-hoc assignments as required.

  Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field. CPA or MBA preferred.

• Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role within the private sector.

• Robust knowledge of GAAP and other accounting principles.

• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.

• Excellent analytical and numerical skills.

• Superior written and verbal communication abilities.

• Strong attention to detail with high levels of accuracy.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.

• Strong leadership skills and experience in team management.
