Here, you will make an impact by:Driving existing product quality enhancement through use of continuous improvement methods and tools, such as: Six Sigma,Product and Process Understanding (PPU), Design of Experiments(DOE), Customer Quality Index (CQI)and Quality at the SourceSupporting and interacting with customers through complaint investigations, resolution, and trending.Ensuring the commercialized product design intent and product integrity is retained as materials, processes, methods, and specifications changeSupporting change as it relates to design changes inspired by quality improvement, source of supply changes, or cost reduction effortsTrouble shooting, investigating, and analyzing for non-conforming product testing and dispositionProviding Quality Engineering support forGlobal Product Launches and Change management projects.Applying a working knowledge of quality principles and statistics to assigned processes and productsYour Skills and ExpertiseTo set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:Bachelorsdegree or higher in an engineering or science discipline(completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institutionThree (3) years ofcombinedexperiencein a Manufacturing, Production,Qualityand/or Laboratory role in a private, public, government or military environmentAdditional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:Experience in aquality function ormanufacturing/productionplant.Experience running small scale investigative experimentationin a laboratory or pilot plant.Support and/or lead efforts on life cycle management, risk management, product and process improvements, and other product documentation efforts.ASQ Quality Engineer CertificationKnowledge of regulatory requirements for ISO 9001 and auditing experience.Experience leading QA efforts on new product introduction teams.Test method development and validation experienceExperience related to Suppler Management.Ability to influence at all levels, promoting and leading change management.Six Sigma Experience, leading Green Belt or Black Belt projectsWork location: Hybrid Eligible (Job Duties allow for some remote work but require travel to Maplewood, MN at least 2 days per week)Travel: May include up to 10% domestic/internationalRelocation Assistance: May be authorizedMust be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).Supporting Your Well-being3M offers many programs to help you live your best life both physically and financially. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position.
