PDS Tech Inc Solder Technician - Panda Systems in Maple Grove, Minnesota

Are you a skilled Soldering Technician dedicated to ensuring high-quality and reliable connections in electronic assemblies? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you! PDS Tech is looking for a Soldering Technician with robotic soldering experience in Maple Grove, MN.

We seek your expertise with Class 3 soldering projects and the ability to judge solder joint quality, focusing on appearance, cleanliness, and reliability. In this role, you'll handle soldering and tasks such as cleaning, reworking, and fabricating parts using scopes, basic hand tools, and specialized devices.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Soldering parts or components using basic hand tools, specialized fasteners, soldering irons, and measuring devices.

  • Following written work instructions, process sheets, and drawings precisely.

  • Conducting hand soldering on Through Hole, SMT, or Flex products, and preparing tasks like wire cutting, stripping, twisting, tinning, and soldering.

  • Cleaning parts and placing components manually during production using in-line clean, hand clean, or vapor degreaser methods.

  • Accurately measuring and recording product data, adhering to ESD procedures.

  • Possibly operating soldering equipment like solder waves, selective solder machines, and surface mount equipment.

Your schedule:

2nd shift, Monday to Friday, from 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM, with a starting wage of $22 to $24 per hour and overtime opportunities encouraged.

To excel in this role, you should have:

  • High School education or equivalent qualifications.

  • Prior manufacturing experience, ideally with microscope soldering skills or IPC-610 & J-STD certificates.

  • A commitment to obtaining J-STD-001 and IPC-A-610 certifications.

  • Strong comprehension of oral and written instructions, and blueprint interpretation skills.

  • Ability to handle repetitive hand motions during soldering tasks.

  • Flexibility to work in both seated and standing positions.

Pay Details: $22.00 to $24.00 per hour
