EMPLOYER: Geospan Corporation JOB TITLE: 3D GIS Lead Engineer JOB LOCATION: 6901 E Fish Lake Road, Suite 156, Maple Grove, MN 55369 JOB DUTIES: Responsible for engineering 3D Geographic Information Systems (GIS) for visual geographic information technology company. Specific duties include: (1) Developing, updating, and maintaining highly complex web-based 3D Geographic Information Systems (GIS) applications; (2) Researching, formulating, and converting 2D and 3D analysis functions between several front-end and back-end environments; (3) Training and disseminating the latest techniques for 3D to 2D rendering; (4) Writing novel integrations between both proprietary and open-source software; (5) Maintaining relationships with outside data providers, including monitoring usage and access privileges, and meeting with current and potential providers; (6) Mentoring new software developers; and (7) Providing leadership with short-term, medium-term, and long-term project estimates using AGILE software development methods.
