Emerson Application Engineer in Mansfield, Ohio

Based in our Ontario, Ohio location, you will prepare quotations, enter orders, provide outstanding customer service, and coordinate critical information between our company and our clients. You will infuse this position with your expertise, working to optimize inventory practices and increase efficiencies. AS AN APPLICATION ENGINEER, YOU WILL:

  • Review customer’s inquiry for application requirements and commercial terms and conditions.

  • Prepare quotations in response to customer inquiries, in accordance with controlled prices, discounts, terms and conditions and sales policies and procedures.

  • Review customer purchase orders for correct pricing, discounts, terms and conditions, part numbers and prepare for order entry.

  • Respond to all customer requests for sales order status, expedited emergency shipment of parts and service kits, Documentation, operating and maintenance instructions, drawings, and bills of materials.

  • Document customer complaints

  • Document returned materials.

  • Assist other departments in resolving problems related to customer sales and service.

  • Provide customer assistance via phone, fax, or e-mail.

FOR THIS ROLE YOU WILL NEED:

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering or 5 years of previous relevant work experience

  • Work experience in a technical manufacturing environment

  • Demonstrated ability to plan, organize and multi-task to meet deadlines.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS THAT SET YOU APART:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering

  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Applications

  • Experience with Oracle or other MRP systems
