The Fleet Mechanic Assistant is responsible to assist in daily operations of the fleet repair department.Duties and ResponsibilitiesPick up/drop off of any fleet vehicle.Basic mechanic knowledge in regard to oil changes, tire changes, change batteries, etc.Tends to road calls as assigned.Maintains a safe and clean workspace/shop area.On-call and inclement weather responsibilities.Participates in and is willing to obtain new knowledge in all manner of vehicle repairs.Assists in maintaining and organizing parts/vehicle inventory.Maintains a clean, safe, hazard free work area.Adheres to all safety policies and procedures.All other duties assigned.Position Requirements and QualificationsHigh School Diploma/GEDValid NYS Drivers LicenseMust be able to lift 50 pounds
