Test Technician 1 Job Functions: Job Summary The Production Tester 1 position is responsible for production prepping of gaseous and diesel generator sets for the test bays, and assisting with setup and teardown within the test bays as necessary. Job Functions (Essential) Test the accessories of new and overhauled generator sets by powering up each accessory and validating the function. Prepare generator set for test - Install fluids, program controller, test accessories, start test sheet is done at test prep...then in test the setup process includes adding fuel lines, battery cables, exhaust connections, computer cables, and sensing cables. Communicate internally the results of the test preparation Operate computerized test equipment to enter, retrieve, and compute test data Responsible for following safety and environmental procedures Promote a compliance culture in area of responsibility and live the letter and the spirit of the Rolls Royce Code of Conduct. Perform special projects as required Posting Title: Test Technician 1 Location: MTU Onsite Energy (Mankato, MN) Functional Area: Production FLSA Code: Non-Exempt Employment Type: OED - Non-Exempt Qualifications: Qualifications (Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities) Required: 3 years of mechanical knowledge and use of hand tools and equipment Basic ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables Basic ability to perform repetitive tasks in a manufacturing environment Ability to deliver results in a fast-paced environment Demonstrates proficiency in both oral and written communication as well as communicate in a team environment Quality and detail orientation and basic organizational skills Basic command of the English language, both written and verbal Basic ability to learn and adapt to changing technology Basic ability to use a variety of hand and power tools Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs. frequently Preferred: Mechanical and/or electrical assembly operations experience High School Diploma or GED Work Environment: Work Environment Work Conditions: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individual with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Computer, software, calculator, scanners common office equipment and 2-way radio. 2. Air guns, torque equipment, special tools, wrenches etc. 3.
