Harry Meyering Center, Inc. Maintenance Assistant in Mankato, Minnesota

Maintenance Assistant Harry Meyering Center supports people with developmental and intellectual disabilities in their homes and community. Schedule: Full-time; Monday - Friday, first-shift (typically 8:00 AM-4:30 PM) with some evening and weekend hours as needed. Wage: $18.00 per hour. Duties and Responsibilities Conduct building maintenance, repairs, and some cleaning tasks. Pursue professional growth and development. Display exceptional documentation skills and knowledge of systems, routines, and programming. Transport individuals served safely and professionally. Respond to urgent needs that may arise during transportation, including personal cares of individuals served. Conduct maintenance and repairs on vehicles owned by HMC. Record necessary information to maintain up-to-date property and vehicle records. Complete repairs and maintenance as assigned. Communicate progress to appropriate individuals. Respond immediately to any observed safety or health hazards. Aware of fire and safety regulations. Understands property and project budgets. Work cooperatively and professionally with contractors, plumbers, electricians, repair persons, vendors, etc. Requires regular travel to various sites to oversee and/or complete tasks. Maintain HIPPA Compliance in all written or verbal communications, both external and internal to HMC. Follows all health and safety policies and procedures.
