The Team: Our team supports S&P Global Commodity Insights team globally in our Commercial organization to attract new clients and provide support using our CRM tools and applications. We work to drive operational efficiency for all business stakeholders by working within the agile framework to prioritize, plan and oversee the delivery of strategic initiatives on commercial systems – Salesforce, Marketo, etc.. This team works with employees around the globe and at all levels in the business, providing a unique opportunity to get exposure to all areas of the business. We are a growing team with many senior associates that can provide on-the-job training and mentoring on a going forward basis.

Impact and Responsibilities: This position will be responsible for supporting the Commercial Data team, ensuring the data in the system is of the highest quality and best data practices are followed globally.

As a Commercial Data Associate, it is important for you to understand all commercial user workflows within our systems in order to strategically plan and execute data projects and guide stakeholders towards data best practices. You will be responsible for the below item:

  • Serve as a subject matter expertise for all Marketo data related inquiries

  • Manage Workfront cases related to Marketo list uploads

  • Work with technology partners to identify and solve data integration issues

  • Contribute to Marketo best practice adding to the team’s knowledge share

  • Support our Business Intelligence, Data and Field Support teams in their daily workflows and ensure our commercial system(s) is/are meeting the needs of the business

  • Handle questions/requests related to Marketo data and connected applications (such as Salesforce, CVent, etc.) and related data flow processes

  • Perform data and list uploads/exercises and data reconstruction in commercial systems which include but are not limited to lead and attendee lists, data backfills to ensure complete and accurate information sure addresses, company name etc.

  • Validate data completeness & accuracy

  • Elimination of duplicate records in commercial systems data

  • Act as Tier 1 support for incoming tickets/cases, resolving data issues and escalating to correct teams if needed

  • Tenaciously work through data issue identification, resolution, documentation and communication.

  • Collaborate with different teams to ensure contacts are updated with accurate privacy setting(s) such as but not limited to sanctioned contacts

  • Ensure our help documentation and applications are up to date and accurate

  • Support User Acceptance Testing needs from a data owner perspective

  • Ideal candidates will have an undergraduate degree, or certification in a related field, and possess strong quantitative, analytical and interpretive skills.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills are required along with excellent MS Office skills.

  • The candidate should possess strong organization, prioritization, problem identification, and problem solving skills to manage internal workflows and client communication.

  • Assist Data Team members with all data related work as needed.

  • Working to resolving data related issues within other Marketing systems connected to Marketo

What We’re Looking For:

This person should have a strong foundation in marketing tools as well as other systems and will be tasked with creating, implementing and improving best practices ensuring continual enhancement of data. The ideal candidate should be technical, organized, results driven and has strong attention to detail.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required.

  • 1-5 years of experience working in a data related role.

  • Must have 1-2 years of experience with Marketo and able to perform static list uploads and MQL list uploads.

  • Knowledge of the Marketo integration process into Salesforce.

  • Experience working with data and able to manage, analyze and integrate data from multiple sources and in multiple formats with the end goal of creating a useful data sets.

  • Must have Strong Excel skills (Pivot tables, Macros, Index/If statements).

  • Must possess strong quantitative, analytical and interpretive skills.

  • Strong written and oral communications skills a must

  • Experience creating and analyzing reports for data analysis.

  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and tasks concurrently while working in a fast paced environment with tight deadlines and specific requirements.

  • The candidate should possess strong organization, prioritization, problem identification, and problem solving skills to manage internal workflows and client communication.

  • Ability to take initiative, use consultative skills and build strong, productive relationships.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in Salesforce and/or Marketo will be an advantage.

  • Experience working with an integrated Marketing Automation platform and CRM System.

  • Experience working with Microsoft Access is beneficial.

  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate in a global, diverse and inclusive team environment.

Shift Timings: USA Shift (6PM-3AM IST), flexibility required.
