SLR International Corporation Senior Level Consultant in Manhattan, New York

SLR International Corporation is seeking a full time Senior level Consultant with a minimum of 10 years of experience to join our growing Mergers and Acquistions (M&A) advisory team. The successful candidate will be part of an experienced and well-established team providing EHS and ESG due diligence support on portfolios for our legal, private equity, finance, corporate, and industrial sector clients. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated professional prepared to work in a fast paced and dynamic practice area.  The individual will have excellent written and oral communication skills, the ability to think critically about environmental and social risks, establish trust with clients, work collaboratively, and take joy in coaching junior staff. If you have a disability and need reasonable accommodations at any point in the application or interview process, please contact us at careers-us@slrconsulting.comRequired Technical Skills, Experience, and Education:Seasoned professional in the transactional EHS due diligence space related to Mergers & Acquisitions as well as traditional industrial and commercial site assessments.Ability to recognize and evaluate liabilities and business risks associated with site contamination, regulatory compliance, safety, and social factors.  Bachelors or Masters degree in engineering, environmental science, geology, or related discipline.Minimum of 10 years of related experience with at least 2 of those years working at a high-level with financial, legal and/or corporate clients.Motivation and ability to succeed in a fast-paced consulting environment, manage multiple assignments and teams, and meet strict deadlines.Solid understanding of ASTM Phase I standards as well as frameworks for business transactions involving industrial assets and large portfolios.Have a general understanding of US rules and regulations such as the Clean Air Act (CAA), Clean Water Act (CWA), Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), Spill Prevention, Control, and Counter Measure (SPCC), National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES), Emergency Plan and Community Right-to-Know (EPRCA), etc.Strong MS office computer skills.Possess or have completed 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER and 8-hour refresher training.Valid driver's license required.Key ResponsibilitiesManage medium to large scale EHS/ESG comprehensive due diligence projects for regional and international portfolios. Assets under review include chemical, oil and gas, manufacturing, mining, infrastructure, as well as timberland and traditional Phase I ESA site reports.Evaluate EHS, social, and climate risks across portfolios and effectively frame and communicate issues to deal teams and stake holders.Collaborate with the SLR community across disciplines and practice areas to facilitate the analysis of critical risks and understanding their implications to the transaction.  Additionally, identify opportunities for value creation post-acquisition and during the investment lifecycle.Provide a responsive and reliable client experience on each assignment, building trust and lasting relationships.Be a valued and essential member of the core M&A advisory team.Compensation Range: The salary range for this job in most geographic locations in the US is $100,000.00 to $120,000.00. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography.
