Bowery Residents Committee Clinical Learning Coordinator (Temporary Position) - 131 West 25th Street in Manhattan, New York

Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate in-person clinical based training during orientation week for all new hires; topics including cultivating a Trauma Informed Care environment and Person-Centered Care/Strengths-Based perspective

  • Coordinate orientation efforts with BRC programs to ensure programs are prepared to receive new staff

  • Execute additional training on topics including, concepts related to Motivational Interviewing, professional boundaries and other training as needed

  • Track data and write monthly and quarterly reports as it relates to training compliance, departmental activities and outcomes

  • Coordinate with program staff to support competency to ensure integration of key clinical topics and best practices in daily agency practice

  • Demonstrate an ability to connect evidence based practices and BRC core values and mission

  • Assist with facilitating additional complex training curricula as needed. This includes programs and materials using components of adult learning theory such as classroom training, blended learning and others.

  • Ability to stay up to date on clinical evidence based practices

  • Manage clinical internship placement process, including, acting as a liaison for colleges/universities, coordinating placements with identified supervisors/programs, and completing all necessary paperwork

  • Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and present on relevant topics and trends

  • Other duties as assigned

    Hours: Monday-Friday 9:00am-5:30pm

    Hybrid role with in-office requirement to meet orientation schedule

    Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • At least several years of progressive experience in related fields is required , with minimum one year supervisory experience required

  • Bachelor’s and Master’s degree can be substituted for some years of experience

  • Preferred at least two years of experience working in the homeless service and/or supportive housing sectors

  • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills are required

  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills

  • Strong presentational skills are required ; experience presenting material to diverse audiences while demonstrating an engaging presence

  • Experience in curriculum development, coaching and/or training delivery preferred

  • Preferred experience providing psychoeducational programs and/or facilitating groups, and/or providing workshops

  • Ability and willingness to engage in continuous learning, professional development and research

  • Knowledge of excel and basic statistics is required

  • Exhibits computer systems knowledge and proficiency as necessary to perform job functions

  • Ability to flexibly manage multiple tasks

  • Travel required within NYC boroughs
