Functional Title: Assistant IT ManagerCorporate Title: AVPDepartment: Corporate OperationsReports To: IT Manager (to COO)Overtime Eligible (Y/N): NPosition Summary: In collaboration with IT Manager, ensure streamlined operations of the IT function in alignment with the organization’s business objectives by planning, coordinating, and executing IT-related activities through management and oversight of the outsourced IT service.Essential Duties/Function:1.Oversee IT Systems and Infrastructure in collaboration with IT Manager: Ensure the smooth and secure operations of all NLGIA technology equipment and functions, including outsourced system in accordance with corporate requirements and SEC guidelines. 2.Collaborate with external IT vendors: Liaise with external IT Vendors to provide beneficial technology solutions for day-to-day operations and facilitate the achievement of strategic goals and objectives.3.Manage IT Projects: Execute the planning and completion of internal IT-related project (focusing on the PJ with the main IT vendor)4.Establish and maintain a Robust IT Security Environment: Assist the IT Manager with implementing and governing security controls, access management, monitoring, and compliance measures.5.Support IT Risk Management: Assist the IT Manager with security risk assessments, DR/BCP tests and security reports/policies/rules.6.Manage the User Environment: In collaboration with IT Manager, oversee network access, storage, hardware set up, and software installation.7.Lead User Support: Oversee the IT-Helpdesk in providing troubleshooting, user manuals, and IT issue guidance. Investigate and resolve complex matters with the IT vendor when escalation is necessary. 8.Enhance Employee IT Communication & Training: Communicate with employees at all levels regarding various support needs. Organize training and meetings to cover topics such as security practices and productivity tools. 9.Stay abreast of changes in technology:Research and recommend new technologies for business efficiency in accordance with company goals.10.Perform Miscellaneous duties as assigned.Experience/Qualifications:•Bachelor's degree in computer or technology-related field, or equivalent work experience.•At least 5 years of related experience, preferably within the financial sector.•Previous experience working with outsourced IT vendors. •Fluency in Japanese and English required.•Ability to troubleshoot and ensure data security.•Individual must possess sound problem solving and assessment capabilities.•Strong analytical, organizational and interpersonal skills required. The expected annual base salary for this position ranges from $100,000-$115,000. It is not typical for offers to be made at or near the top of the range. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered.
