\ \ Assistant/Associate Professor, Operations and Supply Chain Management\ \ Department: 3670025040 Management\ Job no: 516926\ Employment type: Academic / Faculty - 9 month\ Location: Manhattan, Kansas\ Worksite: On-site requirement\ Categories: Business / Accounting / Finance, Education / Instructional\ Pay Grade: 001\ \ \ About This Role:\ The Department of Management in the College of Business Administration (CBA) at K-State is seeking applicants for a tenure-track, full-time Assistant/Associate Professor position (rank commensurate with experience) in the Operations and Supply Chain Management (OSCM) area.\ \ The candidate will be responsible for research, teaching, and service activities in the CBA.\ \ Research: Consistent with departmental guidelines, the candidate will be expected to publish in high-quality academic journals in the OSCM area and develop a strong research track-record.\ \ Teaching: Desired areas of teaching experience or interest include Procurement, Logistics, Global Supply Chain Management, and Risk Management. The CBA has a strong emphasis on data analytics as part of its innovative curriculum. Accordingly, the candidate will be expected to support data analytics program growth in the supply chain area.\ \ Service: The candidate will be expected to demonstrate a strong commitment to collegiality and shared governance.   • The candidate must hold a Ph.D. in OSCM or a closely related area from an AACSB accredited university. ABDs will also be considered but must be in a position to complete their Ph.D. within 6 months of their employment date at K-State.
  • Ability to publish in high-quality academic journals in the OSCM area and develop a strong research track-record.

\ Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong research record as demonstrated through publications in top academic journals and presentations at national academic conferences
  • Prior university teaching experience in OSCM or closely-related field
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Related professional work experience
  • Demonstrated ability to teach one or more of the advanced courses in Operations and Supply Chain Management
  • Commitment to understanding one\'s own experiences and perspectives as well as the experiences and perspectives of diverse others in an effort to cultivate strong relationships and effective collaboration
