Work Location: Morrison, TN

This person must demonstrate a strong commitment to our mission, vision and core values. Looking for an energetic, compassionate, creative individual who possess the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, can effectively manage time and prioritize multiple responsibilities, basic knowledge of local, state and federal employment laws, be a problem-solver, and able to build and maintain relationships with employees at all levels. The Safety role will work in direct correlation with necessary training-documentation, safety compliance and assorted administrative obligations. The Safety & Training Coordinator is responsible for implementing all safety policies and procedures for the MI and TN locations as well as overseeing all training processes and documentation for the company. The position will assist the Human Resource Manager.  Perform research and enforce policies and procedures.  Utilize JJ Keller website to support safety, 300 logs and training modules (including injury and worker's comp claims). Help manage SDS program by maintaining and updating SDS binders both electronically and manually.  Filing, copying, scanning, uploading working documents into company systems.  Monitor and maintain first aid and safety cabinets and order supplies. Implement and maintain a weekly safety cabinet checklist at all company locations.  Maintain and update company organizational charts.  Perform research and implement safety policies, procedures, and services as needed.  Assist HR Manager with projects that arise.  Perform monthly safety walks. This positions starts in January of 2025!

salary: $56,150 - $56,200 per year

Responsibilities

 Employee recruitment, hiring processes and new worker orientation

 Benefit programs including FMLA

 Workers compensation claims, reporting and return to work programs

 Assist with implementation of compensation plans, HR systems and programs

 Create and maintain job descriptions

 Assist in the development of KSA's in FileMaker by reviewing them for accuracy and grammar usage

 Create and maintain competency training documents.

 Responsible for managing, designing, developing, coordinating, and conducting training programs

 Manage SDS program by maintaining and updating SDS binders both electronically and manually

 Create and update employee profiles within the Human Resource function in FileMaker

 Maintain the Human Resource and KSA functions within FileMaker

 Enforce policies and procedures

 Perform (weekly) payroll for the temporary employment agencies at all PolyFlex facilities.

 Assist with Training system s development (across the board).

 Assist the technical writer with employee profiles in Filemaker.

 Assist with employee turnover report.

 Maintain ATS for Morrison facility, write ads, manage applications.

 Assist with SDS and Kell website to support safety, 300 logs and training modules.

 Assist safety lead locally.

 Compliance with local, state and federal rules, regulations and guidelines

 General computer skills with focused experience using MS Office and FileMaker [database]

 Human Resource Knowledge – HIPPA, Safety

 OSHA 30 Certification
