Envision Technology, LLC Production Supervisor in Manchester, New Hampshire

Production Supervisor

Envision Technology, an innovative small business providing advanced electro-optical solutions for defense applications, is seeking a Production Supervisor. In this role, you will primarily be responsible for supervising hourly employees engaged in the manufacture of electro-optical systems, in accordance with an established build plan.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise hourly touch labor employees and ensure that established build plan is executed on schedule and within budget.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of assigned product lines, including (but not limited to) material requirements (BOM), quality objectives, cycle times, process steps and equipment requirements.
  • Understand the output capacity of assigned production lines, as well as the constraints and make recommendations to management on requirements for capacity increases.
  • Make recommendations to management on workforce sizing.
  • Provide input on the build plan, including decisions to increase or decrease production rates.
  • Ensure that HPU targets are hit and implement improvements.
  • Ensure that employees are given daily assignments and expectations and track execution.
  • Interface daily with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Program Management and other functions to request support and/or provide updates.
  • Ensure that all program objectives are met, including customer expectations, deliverables, compliance and quality provisions.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years experience in manufacturing, with at least 2 years experience in a supervisory or leadership position.
  • Experience with laser systems, night vision/imaging systems, and target location systems is a plus.
  • Bachelors degree is a plus.
  • Highly organized, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple activities at once.
  • Possess a solid understanding of manufacturing management concepts such as lead times, cycle times, capacity planning, inventory control, etc.
  • Strong leadership and motivational skills to drive self and team to meet goals and objectives of programs.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications. Successful candidates will be very familiar with Word, Excel and Outlook. Familiarity with Visio and PowerPoint is a plus.

  • First shift salaried, exempt position with a 9/80 schedule. While Envision Technology strives to complete all work during standard shifts, overtime work may be required to meet company or customer requirements.
