Dartmouth Health Cardiology Technician II Pediatric Cardiology Per Diem in Manchester, New Hampshire

Overview

Performs technical test procedures and related recording and reporting of results. Application of long term monitoring equipment. Maintains equipment and teaches new technicians, providing orientation and training for new procedures, techniques, and equipment. Gives input into peer performance reviews.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares patients for and performs recording duties during stress testing, performs Cardiolite exercise tests to include Persantine and Echo tests with physician present, and maintains & makes routine repairs on all specialized equipment.

  • Provides an orientation and training program for all CP Tech. I and Tech. II new employees. Gives input into peer performance reviews. Assists in the interview process, providing input into the hiring of new employees. Provides orientation and training for new procedures, techniques, and equipment. Includes staff in demonstrations of new equipment/products, soliciting their input.

  • Maintains emergency equipment to include drugs and defibrillator.

  • Participates in system redesign and problem solving. Generates ideas for service and system improvements, making suggestions.

  • Performs other duties as required or assigned.

Qualifications

  • 1 year of technical experience as a Cardio Tech I, or the equivalent required.

  • College level courses in chemistry, anatomy and physiology desired.

Required Licensure/Certifications

  • BCLS required.

  • Area of Interest:Allied Health;

  • FTE/Hours per pay period:.01 hrs/per week (per diem/temp);
