Role: Accounting Manager - Operations

Location: Manchester UK

Our finance and accounting teams play an instrumental part in supporting Hologic to deliver sustainable profitable growth for our business.

We are currently seeking a highly motivated accounting manager for our manufacturing and supply chain sites in EMEA. This role is crucial in leading the accounting processes for our operations business for multiple EMEA entities ensuring the accuracy and reliability of the financial reporting.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Drive personal growth and development of 1 direct report

• Manage all inventory accounting across our EMEA entities ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards

• Review and approve monthly balance sheet reconciliations in compliance with SOX requirements. Lead and complete all inventory SOX reporting, ensuring zero control deficiencies

• Own the month end close process ensuring accuracy and timeliness in financial reporting including hands on approach during the close periods

• Be the key contact for financial audits, both internal and external ensuring the necessary compliance with regulatory requirements

• Partner with the wider operations finance team and commercial FP&A to understand key cost drivers impacting gross margin

• Lead continuous improvements in financial accounting processes

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• Fully qualified in CIMA, ACCA or ACA Qualified

• Attention to detail with working through large volumes of data to ensure accurate financial reporting

• Highly organized, diligent and structured with the ability to work to tight deadlines

• Ability to provide guidance, support and development opportunities to help team members reach full potential. Accounting supervising experience is highly desirable

• Problem solving abilities, for addressing month end related challenges and proactive approach in working to resolve any issues

• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel. Oracle and SOX Controls experience would be advantageous
