Sodexo General Manager / Chef Manager in MANASSAS, Virginia

Role Overview

Sodexo Corporate Services is seeking a General Manager / Chef Manager to oversee the food service operations at one of it's cafeterias in Manassas VA. The current food landscape consists of 1 corporate cafe where we serve breakfast and lunch only, office coffee, and catering operations. The GM/Chef Manager is the number 1 for the food operation and the Chef for the business. The GM/Chef Manager will be responsible for complete oversight of the operation. 60% of this role is culinary driven and 40% General Manager Admin.

What You'll Do

  • Supervises day-to-day operations;

  • directs daily food operations for quality & safety standards ;

  • monitors operating standards;

  • assigns & prioritizes activities;

  • provides team leadership & training ;

  • establishes a safe work environment

  • and/or ensure Sodexo standards are met.

What You Bring

  • have a work history demonstrating strong leadership skills and the ability to work collaboratively with all levels of the organization;

  • proven experience in food production

  • has a strong background in food safety and sanitation compliance; and / or

  • possess the ability to manage multiple priorities, demonstrate professional communication skills, and exhibit a passion for a high-level of customer service.
