Primary Purpose:   

We’re looking for an amazing Recruiter to work onsite at our Manassas, VA office. Reporting to the Director of HR/Recruiting, this is an ideal role for a mid-level Recruiter who works well under pressure, is a self-starter, and wants to work in a collaborative environment. No day will look the same at Electra as the work is frequently determined by the dynamic activities that affect the office. As a strategic thinker, you will connect task management to organizational priorities with a high degree of confidentiality and a sense of urgency. The ideal candidate will understand the intricacies of Recruiting in a post-COVID environment and take the lead on strategic recruiting and hiring initiatives.

Responsibilities & Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for sourcing, recruiting, and screening applicants for a variety of technical engineering positions, including but not limited to mechanical, electrical, system and aerospace, as well as several corporate positions (finance, HR, operations, business development etc.)

  • Source, interview, and select applicants for technical positions.

  • Interviews applicants; recommends employment; plans advertising; plans manpower requirements; provides employment information to applicants; arranges internal transfers.

  • Sources and prescreens candidates, participates in interviews, assists managers with reference checks, develops competitive job offers and tracks candidates in the applicant tracking system.

  • Conducts interviews to recruit prospective employees and refers job applicants to specific job openings.

  • Evaluates employment factors such as job experience, education and training, skills, knowledge and abilities, and other data pertinent to classification, selection, and referral.

  • Surfaces candidates and develops networks to ensure constant flow of qualified candidates using web-based tools, agencies and recruiting contractors.

  • Prepares applicant assessment, provides applicants with information on the company, checks references, and ensures successful hiring and on-boarding process.

  • May participate with management to develop job specifications, make salary recommendations and negotiate starting salary with management and candidate, administer tests and interpret results, and arranges transportation of selected applicants.

  • Collaborates with hiring managers to create and review employment requisitions and develop staffing plans.

  • Communicates with hiring managers on the status of requisitions, candidate quality and candidate pipeline.

  • Maintains contact with hard to find skilled candidates using various communication techniques to keep the candidates interested in the Company.

  • Creates and fosters relationships with colleagues and diverse professional organizations to attract and recruit critical skilled candidates, alumni and diversity applicants.

  • Maintain a high degree of confidentiality.

  • Other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications & Required Skills

  • Be both organized and creative, a trusted advisor to the hiring managers

  • Have the capability to source and find highly specialized, engineering and aerospace candidates

  • Strong ability to communicate clearly initiatives that are driven by the HR Director and leadership teams.

  • Be a proficient user of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Adobe Acrobat and highly tech savvy.

  • A strong work ethic and ability to independently meet and lead the areas described by the responsibilities and essential functions.

    Minimum Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Business Administration, Management, Operations Management, Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, Psychology or related discipline and,

  • 2+ years related professional recruiting experience recruiting aerospace/technical engineers for projects (or an equivalent combination of education, skills, and experience).

    Preferred Skills

  • Experience supporting the development of aircraft control systems and integrated flight hardware.

  • US Person (Citizen or Green Card) Preferred

    Location: Manassas, VA - with some hybrid work available

    Travel: <25%, Domestic & International Travel

Salary: Electra’s salary range for this position is: $69,875.00 - $155,875.00

Our salary ranges reflect the minimum and maximum range for the Company level overall across all locations & projects.  Individual pay is based on additional factors, including project budgets, job-related skills, experience, relevant education and/or training, role, level, location, and project.

Working Conditions

Work is typically performed in a warehouse/aviation and office environment, which requires proper safety precautions. Work may require some physical effort in handling light materials, boxes, power tools, prototypes, and different materials or equipment. Due to the nature of our business and projects, some fieldwork may be required, working in both indoor and outdoor conditions. You may need to lift up to 50 lbs.
