The Institutional Investor Group (IIG) continues to advance divisional strategic objectives in growth, client experience, and crew. Achieving these objectives requires not only sound business strategy, but the ability to plan and execute the initiatives that put this strategy into practice. The Strategic Initiatives team is responsible for taking the most critical aspects IIG’s strategy, developing them into discrete initiatives, and managing their implementation. The scope of this team focuses on large initiatives with significant impact to clients, products, or other external stakeholders as opposed to traditional internally focused project management teams. Previous initiatives included IIG’s partnership with Infosys, the division’s Client Success transformation, and transition of IIG’s VIAS line of business to Mercer.

The Transformation Senior Specialist is responsible for leading the end-to-end execution of an initiative in the team’s portfolio. This role requires the ability to partner with divisional and corporate strategy teams to plan, then work across the division and our business partners to problem solve and execute. The breadth of work crosses people, process, and technology and success is achieved through tenacity of the team.

An ideal candidate for this role has a strong track record of driving results in an undefined and multidisciplinary environment. Prior experience in large programs or other similar initiatives is helpful, but not required.

In this role, you will:

• Manage programs or major workstreams of a broader program. Ensure that the scope of the program aligns with business priorities and that business value is properly measured for prioritization.

• Develop and maintain broad knowledge and awareness of Financial Services industry forces, competition, and trends to act as a trusted advisor throughout the project lifecycle. Monitor financial, legal, and other regulatory environments to ensure projects are aligned with the overall company strategy and market conditions.

• Communicate with stakeholders, leaders, team members, management, and department partners to ensure that requirements and priorities are understood. Monitor project progress and results and submit regular status reports to management and internal and external stakeholders. Ensure the development and execution of business change management and communication plans.

• Build and maintain relationships across program stakeholders and proactively foster effective communication between internal and external parties. Drive key decisions to ensure alignment with overarching goals across stakeholders.

• Ensure all steps are taken to mitigate risk and maintain control, compliance, audit, and legal requirements. Maintain an appropriate level of technical and business knowledge to support program implementation.

• Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.

What it takes:

• Minimum of eight years related business experience. Financial Services and function-specific experience required. Minimum of four years project management experience.

• Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience required. Graduate degree preferred.

• Experience with the execution and implementation of large-scale change.
