Saint-Gobain Public Relations & Influencer Marketing Manager in MALVERN, Pennsylvania

Reporting to the Director of Integrated Marketing, the Public Relations & Influencers Manager is responsible for driving the CertainTeed brand Public Relations strategy and building an Influencer program within, with the goal of scaling strategic media and influencer relationships that will 1) generate reach and engagement, 2) boost community, 3) educate about our building solutions portfolio, 4) inspire product trial, and 5) ultimately increase brand awareness and customer trust, driving CertainTeed long-term profit across business units.

We are seeking an experienced, self- driven, high- judgement and creative communicator professional to join the Corporate Marketing organization in a role that requires a strong understanding of the new media landscape and building industry trends.

The position demands a deep knowledge on the confluence of Public Relations and Influencers with proven experience of combining traditional PR tactics with Influencer marketing, to bolster CertainTeed campaigns reach and storytelling, in a contemporary way.

In this position, the candidate will function as day-to-day liaison for our Public Relations agency with minimal supervision, managing the multiple facets of the relationship including timelines, resources such as 1) Thought Leadership initiatives, 2) ‘Always on” press support, 3) Proactive News Engine, 4) Trade shows media point person 5) Quarterly planning, and 5) Budget. Our agency serves as CertainTeed press office in the U.S. and Canada and handles all our media relations.

This candidate will build the CertainTeed influencers program at scale, securing strategic relationships that will increase our brand exposure, work with the social team to further improve social engagement, attract new customers, and ultimately generate revenue. In this position, the candidate will Develop the influencer marketing strategy, create the quarterly action plan calendar, define the workflow and type of promotional material that will be delivered to influences, and manage the influencer activity within defined goals and budget.

The candidate should have a track record of generating results proven with data. A long-term strategic thinker that will manage both, Public Relations, and Influencers, increasing CertainTeed brand share of voice and amplifying our solutions storytelling as part of our Integrated Marketing plan, in the ever-evolving media landscape our customers live.

Public Relations Management:

  • Be the primary point of contact with our internal Business Units on behalf of the Integrated Marketing team to understand business priorities and translate these into Public Relations initiatives that most effectively deliver against business goals.

  • Conceptualize and review Public Relations content to shape CertainTeed Corporate reputation in collaboration with the Business, Saint-Gobain PR teams, as well as Sustainability Communications team and Public Policy.

  • Devise and lead the creation of proactive Public Relations communication to maintain a pipeline of positive and engaging stories about CertainTeed building solutions portfolio.

  • Ensure seamless coordination of the overarching Integrated Marketing Campaigns strategy across CertainTeed Business Units to amplify them within the Public Relations channel, aligning cohesive messaging across activated channels.

  • Ensure that the content is distributed in the right format and on the right PR technique to achieve maximum impact with media and customer audiences.

  • Aid and provide a thoughtful point of view of storytelling opportunities and generated ideas for ongoing news creation influencing and advising agency proposals.

  • Have a deep understanding of the U.S. construction media landscape with strong knowledge of our customer cohorts such as 1) commercial and residential contractors, 2) builders, 3) architects, 5) distributors, and 6) homeowners.

  • Become an ambassador of the agency and our internal Business Units in developing relationships with media and key community groups and members.

Influencers Program Management:

  • Identify key influencers, celebrities, and partners in the building industry with substantial social followings, reach out and connect with them, negotiate promotional deals, and come up with campaigns that will drive education of our solutions portfolio attracting new customers, engaging new ones and will play a critical role endorsing our brand.

  • Construct a targeted influencer database and be the point person on outreach, negotiations, contract development and payment for all influencer partnerships.

  • Improve content strategy with cross-functional partners across different Business Unites, including social, creative, shows, press to ensure messaging consistency and alignment across channels.

  • Support Integrated campaigns with Influencer content as needed, working with the Creative team to provide clear and strategic direction for tactics requiring creative elements.

  • Leverage influencer relationships to expand CertainTeed brand presence on social media platforms, such as YouTube and Tik Tok, while identifying new partnership opportunities and channels

  • Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in influencer marketing, incorporating new ideas and approaches into campaigns as appropriate, aligning with the company’s goals and objectives.

  • Customer-obsessed. Understanding our priority customer cohorts and evolution

Measurement, Reporting and Optimization:

  • Monitor press activity, media engagement, success of influencer programs and other established marketing KPIs to optimize current tactics and find opportunities for new solutions.

  • Responsible for internal tools management, running weekly dashboards and analyses to support MBR’s and QBR’s reporting.

  • Be and advocate on campaign performance. Report on active coverage and earned traffic, share of voice, media outreach, geographical presence, message penetration, social engagements etc. against established goals identifying areas of success, improvement and propose optimizations.

  • Bachelor's degree in media and communication, public relations, journalism, or relevant experience in the required field

  • 5+ years of experience in corporate communications or media relations is required, including a demonstrated track record of securing positive earned media coverage

  • 5+ years of experience in leading influencer marketing campaigns required

  • Must have a deep understanding of public relations and social media influencer tools and strategies with various media and influencer monitoring tools and methods, e.g., Meltwater Muck Rack, Sprout, Julius, CreatorIQ

  • Thorough understanding of current social media and influencer marketing trends

  • Demonstrated understanding and experience with B2B and B2C businesses

  • Proficiency in analytics tools, tend analysis and negotiation skills

  • Experience working in a communications / influencer’s role at a manufacturing company, or as a reporter in a newsroom, a plus

  • A proactive self-starter with a can-do attitude

  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills. Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization both orally and written

  • Strong organizational and multi-tasking capabilities. Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines with strong follow up skills, milestones completion driven.

  • Collaborative - team player with a willingness to work hard and roll up sleeves to get work done

  • Influencing and leadership skills as evidenced by the ability to motivate and build consensus and partnerships

  • Knowledge of FTC guidelines for sponsored content

  • Ability to travel to various events, trade shows, etc.
