About the Role:

As an Assistant Finance Controller, you will prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual property company-level reporting packages and other client reporting.

This job is part of the Controlling job function. They are responsible for the Management of the organization's financial controls and the preparation of financial reports for management and shareholders.

What You’ll Do:

  • Support the daily activities of the treasury, cash management, and accounting functions.

  • Participate in corporate governance matters and risk and compliance activities.

  • Monitor, compile, and evaluate financial data. Perform detailed reviews of monthly reports.

  • Produce reporting packages and other required financial information and analytics.

  • Assist with the preparation of periodic financial statements as per the reporting standards of the client.

  • Confirm transactions are posted to the banking system. Review and reconcile trial balances.

  • Gather and analyze data to identify and solve complex problems that arise with little or no precedent. May recommend new techniques.

  • Impact own team and other teams whose work activities are closely related.

  • Suggest improvements to existing processes and solutions to improve the efficiency of the team.

What You’ll Need:

  • Must have CPA (Certified Public Accountant) license with 3-4 years of job-related experience.

  • A comprehensive understanding of a range of processes, procedures, systems, and concepts within own job function is required.

  • Ability to evaluate and communicate unusual and/or complex content in a concise and logical way.

  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.

  • Advanced organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.

  • Advanced math skills. Ability to calculate advanced figures such as percentages, discounts, and markups.
