Medtronic Therapy Sales Specialist Pain Therapies in Madrid, Spain

A Day in the Life

In this exciting opportunity, as a Therapy Sales Specialist you will play a key role in giving technical and Operating Room support to customers in order to increase Medtronic Market Share through technical support and training to health professionals on our Pain devices and therapies. You will also be in charge of the inventory, control and sanity check of the pool of equipment in order to ensure fast and proper coverage of our installation base. The working territory is Valladolid, Salamanca and León, and you will be located in Valladolid.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

  • Analysing the marketplace, developing an effective territory/account sales strategy, and presenting the strategy to management to gain approval for implementation.

  • Performing all activities to maximize sales (in line with the sales strategy) from product introduction and presenting to contract negotiation.

  • Identifying and address all key decision makers (clinical, administrative/economic) and key opinion leaders in all accounts and reporting on them via the provided systems and personally to the district manager on a regular basis.

  • Building, together with regional and business manager, strong and lasting business relationships with key opinion leaders and key decision makers influential in the purchasing process.

  • Providing technical support to customers (i.e., physicians, consultants, cardiologists) according to territory guidelines.

  • Training and educating relevant hospital staff on Medtronic products, using resources, if necessary, in the most effective way.

  • Planning and preparing sales forecasts by account, product, and therapy for the territory along with proposed meetings/customer activities and investments.

Required Knowledge and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Life-science, Marketing, BA, or another relevant degree

  • At least 1 year of selling experience in the medical device industry will be appreciated

  • Knowledge of the Medical Industry competitive marketplace

  • Fluency in English and Spanish

  • Full clean driver license

  • Knowledge of the decision-making process with customers (economic buyer, reimbursement)

  • Self-motivated and able to work with a minimum of supervision

Desirable Knowledge and Experience:

  • Highly valuable experience in intensive care unit and/or anesthesia area

  • Marketing knowledge is valuable

  • Sales Force competencies

  • Computer literacy
