Job profile: Data Scientist
Job Objective:
We are looking for an individual who is passionate about data and excellent at problem solving to join our Data Science team in Cigna International Health Data & Analytics. Our Data Science team develops and implements state-of-the-art classification and predictive models to solve problems related to global and local healthcare. Key healthcare domains include but are not limited to sales and marketing, client, clinical services, network, and payment integrity. For this role, the objective is to combine technical aptitude and a consultative approach to develop data analytics products which create values through implementations.
Job Responsibilities:
Institutionalize end-to-end data analytics development and implementation cycle to ultimately create values to the businesses
Work with Region Leads of Data and Analytics and Product Owners to understand business problems and formulate the most appropriate data analytics approach
Formulate and produce descriptive analytics
Assist in implementing predictive / prescriptive analytics
Track the value created by each analytics implemented
Work with Data Engineering and Cloud Engineering to keep abreast of data ingestion and data enrichment including first and third party data
Work with Data Management and Governance to ensure full compliance of data protection and artificial intelligence ethics
Requirements:
Master’s degree or above in Data Science, Statistics, Actuary, Mathematics or Econometrics
Additional qualifications in Computer Science, Engineering, Health Science an advantage
Mastery in predictive and prescriptive analytics
Knowledge in {International Classification of Diseases (ICD); Current Procedural Terminology (CPT); Current Dental Terminology (CDT); ATC/INN or other Pharmacy standards terminologies; HCPCS vision terminology} is preferable
Knowledge in relational database (RDB) architecture and experience in RDB handling, SQL and Python coding (or similar programming languages to explore data) is a must
Experience or knowledge in Cloud computing preferably Amazon Web Services, Sagemaker, Athena, etc. is an advantage
Experience in algorithmic fraud detection an advantage
Strong communication skill in English; additional languages an advantage
