American Express , global leader in payment services, is looking for an Undergraduate or Masters level student to support the Global Merchants and Network services based in Madrid, Spain.

Key project

 The ideal candidate will support the Global Merchants and Network Services in Spain, specifically the OPC team and will support in different department key projects and tasks. Some of them include:

  • Managing client hierarchies

  • Support business reviews with deck preparations, industry trends, merchants’ activity and franchise planning.

  • Coordinate and support of regulatory processes (such as Know Your Customer)

  • Map the activation process of new existing Merchants.

  • Report of errors on set up and support training where needed.

  • Support the Acquisition governance process.

The intern will gain experience in the following areas

  • Knowledge of a Multinational sales hub with a Spain and EMEA scope.

  • Competences as Reporting and data analysis, ability to interact with different stakeholders, data presentation, ability to navigate in a dynamic environment, etc.

  • Knowledge of American Express GMNS department activities and ways of working.

Skill & experiences required

  • Current graduate students in ADE, Economics, Human Resources...

  • Meticulous attention to detail and organizational skills

  • You’re able to remain calm under pressure, think on your feet and proactively solve problems

  • Good communication and relational skills

  • Self-starting, innovative thinker who can provide team with suggestions and recommendations for process improvement

  • Fluency in English and Spanish

  • Proficient knowledge of Office tools (Excel, Power Point).
