This position performs technical responsibilities in support of the oncology services of UW Veterinary Care (UWVC). Make a real difference in patients\' and their owners\' lives! Responsibilities: Veterinary Technician I (AN002) Veterinary Technician II (AN003) Veterinary Technician III (AN004) Tasks: Administer sedation and monitor patients Call referring veterinary for patient records Clean and stock work areas Coordinate with other services for procedures Obtain patient histories Participate in rotating on-call shifts as needed Perform catheter placement Perform nursing care for patients Perform patient restraint Perform phlebotomy and other sample collection Float to support other small animal services as needed Assist with client communication and inquiries Bring a positive and helpful attitude to the unit daily Other duties as assigned Institutional Statement on Diversity: Diversity is a source of strength, creativity, and innovation for UW-Madison.
