Vontier Total Rewards Intern in Madison, Wisconsin

The Total Rewards Intern is responsible for supporting the Total Rewards department (within HR) on various initiatives, including compensation, benefits, and other related areas. This role will be gaining hands-on experience with benefits administration, compensation program administration, and data analysis. In addition to developing technical skills, the Total Rewards Intern will gain knowledge about our business and understand how compensation and benefit strategies play a crucial role in achieving company goals. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on meaningful projects that directly impact our organization and prepare you for a fulfilling career in human resources and total rewards

This paid internship may last up to 12 months or longer, and be 20-30 hours per week (flexible based on your academic commitments). You must be enrolled at a College/University in the United States and be in good academic standing.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Assist in the analysis and administration of compensation programs, including salary surveys, market research, and job evaluations.

• Support the benefits team in the management and communication of employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and wellness initiatives.

• Collect, analyze, and interpret data related to compensation and benefits to support decision-making and strategy development.

• Assist in ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations related to compensation and benefits.

• Maintain accurate records and documentation for all Total Rewards programs and processes.

• Help prepare and distribute communication materials related to Total Rewards initiatives.

• Participate in various Total Rewards projects and initiatives as needed.

WHO YOU ARE

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

• Practical experience using Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, through academic projects or previous work experience.

• Previous internship or part-time work experience in Human Resources or a related field is preferred but not always required.

• Any experience handling data, creating reports, or conducting research.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

• Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
