JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Summary: The Information School (iSchool) at UW-Madison is focused on education and research that expands society\'s understanding of the role of information in all aspects of science, nature and humanity. We educate students and pursue work that adds to the collective knowledge, productivity and innovation, and to the well-being of people, communities, and society. The iSchool at the University of Wisconsin-Madison seeks up to 2 dynamic professionals to join our team as a Teaching Faculty I. The positions will be responsible for teaching in and further developing the iSchool\'s curriculum and programming. This person(s) will teach online and in-person courses as part of the iSchool\'s academic programs. We encourage candidates to apply who have a developed understanding of meeting the needs of students with a broad range of technical expertise and experience. Well qualified candidates will have a strong knowledge of information science and information infrastructures such as websites, databases and metadata and an understanding of the social impacts and social shaping of information infrastructures. Well qualified candidates will have strong knowledge in topics such as securities, data visualization, data mining and coding. Further, well qualified candidates will have a strong grasp of relevant applied skills and tools.
