JOB REQUIREMENTS: Specimen Control & Receiving Technician - Float - 32753 DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: Work Schedule : 8 hour shift, Monday through Friday, with a starting time ranging between 7:45 and 9:00 a.m. This is a full-time, FTE 1.0, 1st shift position. Monday through Friday, with a starting time ranging between 7:45am and 9:00 am. Hours may vary based on department needs. Pay : * External hires may be eligible for up to a \$2,500 sign on bonus. We are seeking a Specimen Control and Receiving Tech - float to: * Receive specimens and research kits into the laboratory, check for correct labeling, enter tests into Laboratory Information System, process specimens, and load them onto instruments or direct to appropriate work station, technologist, or storage area. * Basic instrument maintenance (temperatures, monitoring reagents) and clerical duties (filing, mailing, faxing). * Interact daily with pathologists, physicians, technologists, clinical staff, nursing unit personnel, and patients.
