Join our colleagues in the Spectroscopy R&D Team in the development of our new instruments and improvements of the products currently on the market.

You will lead system testing, definition, and integration aspects of product development in collaboration with engineering professionals and scientists to develop our premier FTIR and Raman products.

How will you make an impact:

With your analytical skills and broad engineering background, you will work closely with multi-disciplinary R&D teams to develop and lead reliability testing for high quality scientific instrumentation. This includes development and codifying system architecture, optical designs, FMEA & P-diagrams for projects and crafting and implementing test plans to prove performance, isolate and fix root cause of failures, and set published and manufacturing specifications

What will you do:

  • Support New Product Development (NPD) teams by crafting reliability test plans, test fixtures, and software.

  • Lead FMEA, DoE, RCCA activities and drive follow up with project team members.

  • Perform statistical data analysis, document results, of system test plans using detailed, oral and written test reports.

  • Evaluate performance of components and systems via modeling and experimental verification.

  • Develop and maintain technical requirements for NPD projects.

  • Provide regular feedback to project managers on critical issues pertaining to technical and schedule risks.

  • Provide technical support to the manufacturing team with component and system problems.

  • Build positive relationships with product development teams through strong technical leadership.

How will you get here:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Systems, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering, MS preferred.

Experience:

  • 7+ years of technical leadership in requirements-based product development of scientific laboratory equipment - spectrometer experience highly preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Proficiency with data analysis techniques and software (JMP, R, Excel).

  • Programming skills to support development of custom test fixtures (C#, Python).

  • Ability to apply scientific principles to tackle multi-functional or domain design challenges.

  • Consistent record breaking down technical problems and delivering solutions.

  • Proven system level experience pertaining to scientific instrumentation products.

  • Ability to independently drive innovative solutions, test practices, and new technologies.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
