JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Summary: The Department of Pediatrics is seeking a Research Administration Specialist to join our friendly, supportive and dynamic team and provide grants administration support to faculty, researchers and trainee investigators in the Department. This position serves as the primary point of contact managing the sponsored projects funding portfolios for a group of Department of Pediatrics (DOP) investigators and staff. Responsibilities include working with principal investigators and research staff to assist in the creation of budgets and nontechnical proposal documents; prepare, route, and submit funding proposals to sponsors; assist with preparation and submission of reports to sponsors; and serve as a resource on policies, procedures, and regulations. Responsibilities: Works directly with principal investigator(s) and/or research program director(s) to carry out research administrative functions related sponsored grants, agreements, or award management (proposal preparation through closeout). 25% Serves as a liaison and expert resource for researchers regarding the interpretation of policy and procedure related to overall sponsored project management 45% Works collaboratively with researchers to prepare non-technical materials for proposals, drafting contracts or agreements for review, and/or advising award setup 25% Leads researchers in the preparation and/or maintenance documentation, financial management, and/or reporting requirements related to sponsored grants, contracts, or agreements 5% May identify funding opportunities and disseminate to principal investigators Institutional Statement on Diversity: Diversity is a source of strength, creativity, and innovation for UW-Madison.
