We are looking for a Process Raman Product Manager to join the product managment group in Madison, WI. The ideal candidate will use our Process Raman portfolio to drive efficiency and promote innovation in a variety of applications.
How will you make an impact?
As a Product Manager on the Vibrational Spectroscopy team, you'll work with engineers and product specialists to deliver solutions for Process Raman markets. You'll focus on improving our portfolio through feature differentiation, product positioning, and lifecycle management. You'll need to balance multiple priorities and understand the product development process.
Collaborate with team members and customers to understand user needs and enhance the workflow experience.This position is responsible for portfolio growth, from new product concepts to commercialization. Contribute to customer research, define requirements, and lead product launches and sales training.
What will you do?
Drive the Process Raman strategy for the Vibrational Spectroscopy portfolio
Provide product-specific technical and marketing support to our field sales organizations and channel partners
Guide the development of application-specific marketing materials, working hand-in-hand with the applications team
Act as the champion for the customer experience; collecting and analyzing customer feedback to uncover user needs
Own the product lifecycle by developing the argument, product launch plans, versioning strategy, pricing, value proposition, and commercialization approach.
Increase customer and business value through product differentiation
How will you get here?
Education
- Bachelors, Masters or PhD in Business, Chemistry, Physical Science, Life Science, Computer Science or equivalent required.
Experience
Minimum 2+ years of product development or product management experience required
Strong software background required; experience with scientific instrumentation
Strong customer facing experience required
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Strong customer focus, ownership, and drive
Demonstrated excellent judgment and ability to see the big picture, while navigating technology and partner development decisions and tradeoffs.
Work experience converting market intelligence into valuable features delivering one or more software products
Strong technical acuity and understanding of emerging ground-breaking technologies, like cloud computing, IoT, complex event analysis, sophisticated analytics etc.
Able to assess impact of projects and prioritize/allocate time accordingly
Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail; ability to step back and analyze the overall business impact
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with an emphasis on communicating technical requirements and solutions to internal and external audiences.
