JOB REQUIREMENTS: Patient Transporter Senior - 31701 DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: Work Schedule : This is a part-time, 0.75 FTE position. Scheduled hours are 3:00pm - 1:00am, Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department. We are seeking a Patient Services Aide - Senior to: * Function as a lead worker and technical expert for a team that provides transportation services to inpatients who need to be moved to and from nursing units and various therapy/laboratory areas throughout the University Hospital. * Coordinate the movement of patient transport equipment (wheelchairs and stretchers). * Ensure the team understands and practices all relevant safety policies and procedures and provides for patient comfort and safety during transport. * Address phone and on-line patient transport requests and coordinates their team\'s response via the Patient Transport information system.
