JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Summary: The Operations Coordinator is an integral member of the Multicultural Student Center (MSC) staff and is primarily responsible for overseeing general operations of MSC spaces and identity centers located within the Red Gym. The Operations Coordinator will supervise a team of 12-14 student staff responsible for front desk services as well as setup and teardown of reservable event spaces. The Operations Coordinator ensures efficient and sustainable operations of the MSC by managing the space reservations process and maintaining inventory of all technology (printers/copiers, computers, AV equipment) and office supplies. The Operations Coordinator reports to the Assistant Director of Operations and Outreach at the MSC. Responsibilities: Responsible for a variety of professional level work across a variety of administrative service areas including budget, finance, procurement, and human resources with impact across the institution in support of unit or institutional goals. 25% Implements and executes established policies and procedures for a designated work unit to adhere to unit objectives and to align with established strategies 25% Schedules logistics and secures resources for a designated work unit to contribute to the day-to-day operational success 15% Analyzes data and trends, compiles progress reports, and provides appropriate recommendations or conclusions in support of the assigned operational work unit(s) 10% Assists, recommends, and advises staff on unit or program administrative issues, personnel matters, and budgetary problems 5% Serves on committees and attends meetings, representing the interests of the unit or program 10% Supervises student staff operations team, including hiring, training, timesheet approval and performance evaluations. 10% Coordinates MSC tours, visits, fundraising, and tabling requests Tasks: Manages MSC operations, including front desk services, reservations system and protocols, policy development and enforcement, setup and takedown procedures (including AV technology), and customer service standards and expectations for student staff.
