FLOOR360 Office Champion with path to Controller in MADISON, Wisconsin
JOB REQUIREMENTS: FLOOR360 Inc. Office Champion (Multi-disciplined Back Office Support Leader with growth path to Controller and department lead) FLOOR360 is offering a dynamic opportunity to join our accounting and administration department. We are looking for an Office Champion to learn and facilitate roles across multiple departments. The position offers exposure to multiple aspects of a successful corporation within an expanding and business casual work environment. This individual will be responsible for a full span on business administration, with an emphasis on learning and understanding industry-specific processes. These duties will include, but are not limited to: Accounts Payable, Purchasing, Billing, Payroll and Business Tax Preparation and Departmental Crossover. This role will also be responsible for identifying both efficiencies and missing processes and for driving business value through these activities. Responsibilities include: Execute Accounts Payable invoicing and payment processing Organize and prepare bookkeeping, including journal entries, payroll statements and sales reports Back up support for Purchasing, Payroll & Billing Detail oriented approach to general ledger, payroll, accounts receivable and payables Research and resolve reconciling discrepancies Prepare and analyze G/L accounts and assist with periodic tax filings Assist with special projects and spreadsheets as requested Undertake other duties as they arise, with specific exposure to all departments within Floor360 Communicate with customers, employees, and other individuals to answer questions, disseminate or explain information, take orders, and address complaints. Maintain and update filing, inventory, mailing, and database systems, either manually or using a computer. Compile, copy, sort, and file records of office activities, business transactions, and other activities. Review files, records, and other documents to obtain information to respond to requests. Open, sort, and route incoming mail, answer correspondence, and prepare outgoing mail. Compute, record, and proofread data and other information, such as records or reports. Complete work schedules, manage calendars, and arrange appointments. Type, format, proofread, and edit correspondence and other documents, from notes or dictating machines, using computers or typewriters. Process and prepare documents, such as business or government forms and expense reports. Complete and mail bills, contracts, policies, invoices, or checks. Troubleshoot problems involving office equipment, such as computer hardware and software. Train other staff members to perform work activities, such as using computer applications. ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Qualifications: Proficiency in Office365 Construction experience a plus, but not required Minimum two-year Associates Degree in Accounting preferred Willingness to learn customized accounting software and adapt to software updates Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize tasks Ability to work both individually and within a team-oriented environment At FLOOR360, we pride ourselves on providing a great work environment with competitive wages and benefits for our employees.
