The Machine Operator is responsible for set-up, start and running manufacturing equipment under the guidance of the Production Shift Leader. Accountabilities also include ensuring that jobs meet quality specifications, manufacturing standards and that safety procedures are followed while working to continuously improve quality and productivity of manufacturing operations. Location: Fitchburg, WI Pay: \$20.67 Shift: Schedule for Nights: 6PM-6AM,12-hour shifts, 4 days one week and 3 days the next week (3-2 schedule) Overtime is Available Benefits: Direct Hire opportunity Benefits package 401k PTO These individuals can advance in their profession and acquire other internal roles. Job Description of the Warehouse Machine Operator: Machine Operation Set- up, operate and troubleshoot equipment to produce thermoformed parts and implement solution to complex process problems. Understand and apply principles to operate machinery and equipment independently. Ensure maximum efficiency of machine set-up. Inspect and perform routine maintenance and cleaning of the machinery, equipment, and facility. Assist with development of new product and processes. Train new operating and packaging technicians. Ensure part quality meets established standards and identify issues that adversely affect product requirements and communicate with the appropriate departments. Perform housekeeping duties. Follow Good Manufacturing Practices. Complete all shift documentation Shift hand offs go over job status and updates with incoming shifts. Follow all established safety procedures. Sort, grade, weigh, and inspect products, verifying and adjusting product weight or measurement to meet specifications. Stop or reset machines when malfunctions occur, clear machine jams, and report malfunctions to a supervisor. Observe machine operations to ensure quality and conformity of filled or packaged products to standards. Remove finished packaged items from machine and separate rejected items. Monitor the production line, watching for problems such as pile-ups, jams, or glue that isn\'t sticking properly. Inspect and remove defective products and packaging material. Start machine by engaging controls. Tend or operate machine that packages product. Adjust machine components and machine tension and pressure according to size or processing angle of product. Regulate machine flow, speed, or temperature. Clean, oil, and make minor adjustments or repairs to machinery and equipment, such as opening valves or setting guides. ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: One (1) year manufacturing experience. Mechanical aptitude. Ability to read, write and speak English to meet training, safety and quality requirements. Ensure part quality meets established standards. Perform housekeeping duties. Follow Good Manufacturing Practices.
