SPHERION LongTerm Care Quality Program Specialist in MADISON, Wisconsin

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Spherion, in partnership with the State of Wisconsin Department of Health Services, is seeking a Long Term Care Quality Program Specialist. The Program Specialist position is remote (open to WI residents only), includes a benefits package (health, dental, vision, PTO, and paid holidays), and is an indefinite contract role. Pay rate will be discussed during the interview process. The Program Specialist will focus on the Respect I Self-Direct (IRIS) program, a major Medicaid-funded program that delivers long-term care to Wisconsin\'s eligible population of adults with disabilities and frailties of aging. As a Program Specialist, you will participate in the development and implementation of the Quality Management program and aid the Department in its efforts to monitor and improve the quality-of-care performance of the IRIS program. Responsibilities: - Coordinate and conduct a review of the IRIS budget amendment (BA) and one-time expense (OTE) requests - Remediation of Background check appeals - Management of fair hearings and appeals documentation - Participate in the review of Restrictive Measures requests and review and approve designated waiver services before plan approval - Participate in process improvement activities, policy development, and implementation - Provide technical assistance to contractors, vendors, and other stakeholders on program requirements, state and federal rule interpretations, and operational issues ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: - Bachelor\'s degree required - A valid driver\'s license if needed for travel - Knowledge of the principles of self-determination and supporting community resources - Extensive knowledge of care management principles and practice for frail elders/adults with disabilities, and of long-term care service delivery systems - Knowledge of state and federal statutes, regulations, policies, and procedures governing the Medical Assistance program - Knowledge of quality improvement and assurance methods and tools - Proficiency with Microsoft Office software - Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality per HIPAA requirements - Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills - Detail-oriented, organized, and able to problem solve ***** APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS: Apply Online: https://www.spherion.com/jobs/longterm-care-quality-program-specialistmadison43762696/ This position is listed by a private employment agency.
