WHEDA is seeking a SUMMER INTERN to join our COMPLIANCE team in our Madison facility. SALARY: The pay range for this position is \$18.00/hr. - \$21.00/hr. Offered Salary will be based on qualifications and internal pay equity. WHEDA provides a competitive salary. POSITION OVERVIEW: The Compliance Intern position will provide support and process improvement related to multifamily affordable housing programs managed by the Risk & Compliance department. Programs of focus: 811 Project Rental Assistance (PRA). The 811 PRA Program seeks to identify, stimulate, and support successful and innovative state approaches to providing integrated supportive housing for people with disabilities that are homeless or at risk of homelessness. ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Researches the 811 PRA program; recommends and assists with development of materials for internal and external use, which could include presentations or handbooks. A specific focus will be developing materials for agents navigating through the steps required to successfully onboard a 811 PRA project. Compiles materials and resources on local agencies participating in the Continuum of Care agencies that work with Department of Health Services and WHEDA. Makes recommendations on partnerships that would be a good fit for the 811 PRA program. Analyzes and evaluates report data to assess the effectiveness of policies and procedures; recommends and assists with development of policies or procedures which may further expand opportunities for developments participating in the program. Performs or assists with other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma AND at least 2 years of accredited college education in Human Services, Social Work, Community Engagement or a closely related field KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: Proficiency with computer software, Microsoft Office, and the internet Familiarity with Managed Care Organizations or Homeless Service Providers Data collection and research methods Attention to detail, and ability to troubleshoot for process improvement Excellent verbal and written communication skills Problem solving skills and ability to work under pressure Successful prioritizing and management of work projects Ability to work independently and efficiently Strong adherence to confidentiality in working with...
