The Human Resources (HR) Manager is responsible for supporting the Biologics businesses at the Madison, WI site. He/she will be responsible for the development, implementation and coordination of all aspects of Human Resources services at the site. This includes policies administration, employee relations, performance management, training and development, compensation, benefits, payroll administration, compliance and staffing. The HR Manager is a strategic partner and partners with the Senior Leadership Teams in Madison reporting directly to the HR Director.

This is a full-time salaried position, Monday - Friday , 1 st Shift

The Role:

  • Establishes and maintains an effective and credible HR business partnership with site leaders and HRBPs. Partners with Madison site leadership in strategic planning efforts, providing insight on vital HR concerns and ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.

  • Ensures alignment of policies, procedures, plans, programs within the areas of staffing, employee relations, compensation and benefits, employee development and training, organizational development and compliance for Madison.Implements and administers an effective performance management process for the Madison site aimed at improving employee and organizational productivity.Manages Onboarding and exit process.

  • Provides counsel to managers and employees on human resources issues, organization structure and development

  • Develops appropriate training and development initiatives to meet regulatory compliance

  • In partnership with Corporate Compensation, implements and administers reward systems that meet the strategic and competitive demands of the business

  • Assures compliance with employment laws and regulations

  • Facilitates Leadership Development initiatives for Madison including talent reviews and succession planning; assists leaders in determining bench strength/weakness within their teams. Partners with HRBP’s and Corporate leaders on similar initiatives when needed.

  • Work with, coach, and support direct reports in developing knowledge, skills, and abilities in the interest of performance improvement and employee’s career development. Manages, leads, and coordinates responsibilities and workload for HR Staff.

  • Other duties as assigned

The Candidate:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s Degree preferred

  • PHR/SPHR designations preferred, not required

  • 5-7 years broad and progressive experience in human resources required

  • Demonstrable leadership experience at Catalent (including but not limited to participation in Catalent-sponsored leadership programs such as NGGL, GOLD, LEAD Now, GM Excellence, and GROW) may be considered in place of external experience

  • Exposure to manufacturing within pharmaceutical or related technical industries preferred

  • Must have strong knowledge in HR management concepts with a strong consultative approach
