JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Summary: This position is responsible for the following: - Manage the School of Social Work\'s Main Office including opening and closing of the building. Receive and respond to requests from students, faculty, staff, prospective students, and community members in person, by email, or by phone. Address the needs of visitors to the building, including parking, lost and found, and bulletin board postings. Update and moderate email communications for faculty, staff, community members, and students. Screen job opportunities and distribute them to students through the channel appropriate to that job. Maintain service accounts for the department. Make updates on public website and internal KB as related to the position. - Using independent research of policies, provide accurate information concerning courses to walk-ins and by phone. Refer students to proper teaching faculty/instructor or advisor as needed for individual consultations or unique circumstances. Serve as liaison between students and professors in handling make-up exams. Schedule room for make-up exams and monitor student(s). - Assist the advisors. Keep the advisors\' calendars, troubleshoot issues, and schedule appointments. Prepare documents and reports for advisors on request. Maintain important documents related to advising through filing, scanning, copying, and following the document retention schedule. Work with advisors to plan and prepare for events to support students in their education and future career planning. Process transfer credits, exemption course forms, process holds as needed, and help with the planning of Visit Day. - Prepares documentation on newly admitted students for the Recruitment and Awards Coordinator in support of their distribution of traineeship and scholarship funding. - Support prospective students in answering questions and troubleshooting the application process. Process applications for the School\'s professional degree programs identifying issues and reaching out to applicants when appropriate.
