A DAY IN THE LIFE OF THE DIRECTOR OF FINANCE As the Director of Finance, you will have a hands-on role overseeing the company\'s financial operations. Your responsibilities will include leading financial forecasting, budgeting, and reporting processes to ensure the company\'s financial health. You will be responsible for managing the Profit and Loss statement, driving operational efficiency, and leading the accounting, administration, and contracts teams. Collaboration will be key, as you will regularly engage in meetings with our parent company, to provide professional financial insights and ensure alignment with organizational goals. Additionally, you will play a critical role in monthly financial reporting, capital expenditure tracking, and strategic financial planning, helping to drive the company\'s long-term success. JOB REQUIREMENTS The job requires a Bachelor\'s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (a Master\'s is a plus), or an equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant experience, with at least 3 years in finance management. A solid understanding of GAAP accounting and financial practices is essential, along with advanced computer skills, particularly in MS Office. The role demands the capacity to sit for extended periods when necessary. Regular attendance at the office is required. Knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations, as well as company-specific policies, is important. Proficiency with tax regulations, construction contracts, and risk management practices is also expected. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for providing clear and detailed information.
